Our new #GrowWithSixSenses children's amenities would not be complete without a backpack for the youngsters to explore the island and take back home. The idea behind designing these backpacks was to highlight as many treasures of Félicité as possible so the children can take more memories home. These include coconut trees, Coco de Mer, snorkels, fruit bats and many more that are made from recycled materials by a company in South Africa who contribute to local charities with each purchase. There are many colors to choose from, it’s practical for travel and it has useful pouches suitable for water bottles, books and pencils. #SixSensesStories #Seychelles #travel
To add to the new children's amenities for the initiaitve, a storybook was created by Penelope, the in-house #GrowWithSixSenses manager, which focuses on educating little guests on the #sustainability projects that are running on the island. The story introduces its readers to the two island mascots, namely Anna, the turtle, and Steve, the tortoise who, in their own simple way, explain water desalination, composting, coral restoration and zero-waste, to name a few. The book was illustrated by a local artist and has many interactive pages that include games and puzzles together with lots of coloring. #Seychelles #travel #SixSensesStories
Six Senses Zil Pasyon gives a new meaning to #GrowWithSixSenses with its new plantable colored pencils. After finishing up artwork projects, children can plant their pencils which will grow into an herb or flower. At the end of each colored pencil is a seed in a water-soluble casing, that will sprout once planted and watered. There are six different colors available which hide seeds that will grow into basil, chia, coriander, daisies, forget-me-nots and carnations.Happy coloring and Happy planting! #Seychelles #travel #SixSensesStories
Meet Kian our youngest ever sustainability and conservation ambassador! Kian was involved in a conservation and sustainability program over three days during which he learnt about coral reef restoration, island habitat rehabilitation, turtle conservation and sustainable practices at the resort. He is and will be an amazing ambassador for the future generations. During a heartfelt ceremony, our Sustainability team presented him with a certificate for his contribution and for being such an inspiration to us all. Thank you Kian and we hope to see you again soon! #sustainability #Seychelles #GrowWithSixSenses #conservation
